The GWS Board consists of three elected members of the society. These are currently

Honorary Presidents

The general assembly of GWS e.V. has appointed the following members as honorary presidents of the society

Professor Dr. Bernd Schiemenz

Prof. Dr. Bernd Schiemenz was Chairman of the Board of GWS for 13 years and was appointed Honorary President by the general assembly of GWS e.V. on December 4, 2008 in Oestrich-Winkel for his services to GWS Society.

Professor Dr. Thomas H.-P. Fischer

Prof. Dr. Thomas Fischer was Chairman of the Board of GWS Society for 16 years and was appointed Honorary President by the general assembly on May 3, 2023 for his services to GWS Society.

Kuratorium (Advisory Board)

The Kuratorium advises GWS with regard to its strategy. It consists of representatives from business, administration, science or the trade unions. The members of the Kuratorium have the right to attend meetings of the GWS Board, the General Assembly and the Expert Groups.

The Advisory Board is currently being reconstituted.

Fachbeiräte (Expert Groups)

Expert Groups support and advise GWS on specific tasks. There are currently no advisory boards appointed.
